MR. M. MANUK. SECRETARY.

*

Mr. M. MANUK, Secretary.

Mr. M. Manuk came to Hong Kong in December, 1899. After four years service with the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, he joined the Dairy Farm Company fourteen years ago. It is testimony to his business capacity that within a year he was appointed to the responsible post of Secretary, and his thirteen years work in that position have fully warranted the confidence of those who appointed him. The vast strides made by the Company in latter years have in no little measure been due to his business acumen,

Dr. JOSEPH WHITTESLY NOBLE.

Dr. Joseph Whittesly Noble, close on thirty years a resident of Hong Kong, and one of its moving spirits in industrial enterprise, joined the Board, about 1895 when the affairs of the Dairy Farm were about their lowest ebb. Under his guiding influence the Company weathered its severest trials. In co-operation with the Manager he has been responsible for developments which have proved to be of incalculable benefit to the Company from a profit-earning point of view as well as to the public in the maintaining of a wholesome and moderately-priced food supply.

The Board of Directors as constituted for the current year (1919) comprises:

J. Scott Harston, Esq. (Chairman).

The Hon. Sir. C. P. Chater, C.M.G.

F. Maitland, Esq.

The Rev. Fr. Robert.

W. S. Brown, Esq.

L. N. Leefe, Esq.
